Numi Tea’s mission “ is to unite mind, body and spirit through tea, and they extend that holistic idea to helping protect our planet.” This company started in 1999 when it was created by a brother and sister, Ahmed and Reem Rahim. The two founders named the company "Numi" after the “citrusy, Middle Eastern dried lime tea they drank as children growing up in Iraq.” Numi Tea now works towards sustainbility and works towards protecting our planet. Through the passion of the founders, the company is working towards making our planet a better place.
Numi Tea practices sustainable packaging and makes donations towards environmental nonprofits to help track their carbon emissions during the production process. The company wants to be sure that they are “environmentally sound” through the whole process of making their product. As stated on the website, their “ vision is to inspire well-being of mind, body and spirit through the simple art of tea. Through authenticity, creativity, and commitment to people and planet, we bring you the purest, best-tasting organic tea.” The company possesses strong values such as: nurturing growth and being the change.
